Our History
Developed turn-key magazine and catalog production system. Essentially a more efficient high-end color management (hardware and software) at a cost nearly 10 times less than the competition.
As the world shifted to desktop computers, we began to focus on software development and open standards.
CGS ORIS proofing solutions introduced and revolutionized inkjet contract proofing to the world. We enabled our customers the ability to eliminate the use of expensive analog proofing systems while delivering greater accuracy and efficiency within print production processes.
As the graphic arts industry matured with the use of digital production printing presses, there was an immediate need to harmonize color across digital and traditional offset print processes. We quickly advanced our color management products to bridge this gap.
Focused on diversifying product offerings and developing color management solutions for consumer packaged goods and home decor markets. With a renewed focus, we brought to market the world’s most revolutionary offerings for color communication, packaging proto-typing/mock-up, and 3D surface image capturing systems.

Bryan Freeland
Chief Financial OfficerBryan Freeland serves as CFO of CGS ORIS | AMERICAS. He joined CGS ORIS in 2003 and has more than 23 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Banking, and Management. Bryan grew up farming in ND where he acquired his hard work ethic and determination. He began his career at accounting firm Deloitte in the Management Solutions and Services Group. Bryan earned his Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of North Dakota and is an ND CPA. Currently residing in Perham, MN with his wife, daughter, son, and dog, he enjoys the outdoors, especially lake time in the summer, water skiing, surfing, golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Marcus Goerlitz
Vice President of SalesOriginally from Germany, Marcus also lived in London, England. Marcus's first introduction to the printing industry was in 1996 after he finished his professional sports career. Marcus worked with CGS ORIS in Germany & CGS ORIS | AMERICAS from 2001 – 2003, and again in Germany in 2009 after spending time at Koenig & Bauer and Presstek, Europe. In 2011, Marcus and his family moved back to Minnesota when Marcus returned to CGS ORIS | AMERICAS. Marcus has been involved in sales and marketing since the beginning of his career. Currently residing in Lino Lakes, MN with his family, he enjoys biking, golfing, ice hockey, and cooking in his spare time.
David Palmieri
Vice President of MarketingDavid began his career in the graphic arts industry roughly 30 years ago. The early part of his career was focused on the production side of the business in New York City. He joined CGS ORIS | Americas in 2000 and has been instrumental in the overall development and growth of the company. David has a tremendous passion for the graphic arts industry and an advocate for our customer's success. David was born and raised in the New York City area where he resides today. In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Business Development Manager, Industrial Solutions | Central North AmericaDenise comes to CGS ORIS | AMERICAS as a former CGS ORIS customer with 20 years of flexo production experience. She has been involved in all aspects of CGS ORIS business development and complete workflow solutions. She enjoys working closely with customers to create or optimize their environments with CGS ORIS technology. Denise currently resides near Green Bay, WI, she enjoys spending time outdoors on Wisconsin lakes, rivers, and woods.
Lewis Lau
Business Development Manager, Western North AmericaOriginally from Taiwan, Lewis also lived in Japan and Hong Kong until he attended college in Rochester, New York, where he got his first introduction to the field of color management. Lewis has been with CGS ORIS | AMERICAS since its inception and has been involved in various aspects of training, service, and sales of printing workflow solutions over the past two decades. Currently residing in Los Angeles with his family, he enjoys running, biking, and cooking in his spare time.
Rob Lawrence
Business Development Manager, Industrial Solutions | Western North AmericaRob has been working in the print industry for over four decades. In that time specializing in aiding customers in adopting and integrating all of the exciting technological advancements over those years. In his spare time, Rob enjoys playing guitar and he finds the time he likes to take a fly rod and head to a cold stream to try to catch trout.

Adrian Aguilar
Accounting Manager"Making Minneapolis, MN his permanent home, originally from Honduras, Central America. Attended school in St Paul, MN. Adrian has been part of the CGS ORIS family since 2007. “I love my job and the people I work with and I hope this comes through to my colleagues and our customers, I am always happy to help.” In his spare time, Adrian enjoys playing golf, running, biking, and working out."
Rachel Malley
Customer Service ManagerRachel has been with CGS ORIS | AMERICAS since 2016. She spent the first 8 years of her career with CGS ORIS on the Professional Services Team as a Product & Applications Specialist. As of May 2024 she transitioned into a new role as Customer Service Manager. Prior to joining CGS, Rachel attended the University of Wisconsin – Stout and received a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications Management. Rachel enjoys spending her free time at their family cabin in Northern Minnesota or camping with friends and family.
Keiko Komatsu
Accounting & Customer Service RepresentativeKeiko was born in Mexico to a family of Japanese roots and lived in France in her youth. She’s been a part of the CGS-ORIS team for more than 15 years, assisting the Accounting team and working in Customer Service for CGS ORIS' North America and Latin America customers' needs in a timely and efficient manner. She currently lives in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Keiko enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and has recently taken up gardening. She also loves to entertain and cook both Mexican and Japanese food.

Bill Lepsch
Technical Services ManagerBill was born and raised in the Twin Cities metro area. He started his career in analog proofing and moved into digital proofing and prepress at various Minneapolis prepress houses. Bill then worked over ten years for Kodak Polychrome Graphics / Eastman Kodak where he learned product support, training, quality assurance, color management, and other disciplines as they related to proofing and printing. He has been the Technical Services Manager at CGS ORIS | AMERICAS for the past six years. He has also spent a couple of semesters teaching color theory at his local technical college. He is an IDEAlliance-certified G7 Expert and Color Management Professional Master. Bill still resides in the Twin Cities metro area with his wife of 26 years and their four children and enjoys cooking, reading, and is an avid Scouter.
Bruce Brown
Director of Technical Sales & Product InnovationBruce has over 35 years of experience in the printing and graphics arts industry, and has spent the last 17 years at CGS focused on color management and process controls. He is a G7 expert and has spoken at several conferences and seminars, where he has enjoyed sharing his knowledge and training others. In his off time, Bruce loves travelling, photography, drone flying, and ancestral research.
Emily Swanson
Technical Support Specialist & Marketing CoordinatorEmily was recruited by CGS ORIS | AMERICAS at a color management conference as a student. Prior to CGS, Emily attended the University of Wisconsin – Stout earning a B.S. in Graphic Communications Management. In her free time, Emily enjoys planning dinners inspired by meals across the world and getting lost in nature.
Eddie Grabowski
Hardware Support SpecialistEddie Grabowski is a dedicated Hardware Support Specialist at CGS with a rich background in technology, having previously worked at HP Indigo. A proud Minnesota native, Eddie is a family man who cherishes his time with his wife and two kids. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, tinkering with RC cars, and has a keen interest in color. Eddie's passion for both his profession and his hobbies makes him a well-rounded individual with a passion for his work and home life.
Leah Shibilski
Technical Support SpecialistLeah joins CGS ORIS Americas from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where she graduated Cum Laude in Graphic Communications with a Fine Arts Minor. She was also named 8 times to the UW Stout Dean's List while obtaining her bachelor's degree. In the summer 2021, Leah interned at Worzalla Sheridan in her hometown of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. There she learned about the book manufacturing process utilizing lithography printing. In the summer of 2022, Leah completed her second internship at Japs Olson to study prepress, estimating, and customer service through the direct mail lens. Leah is an avid lover of animals, textile crafts, and home improvement. She is excited to join the CGS ORIS team, as her interest in color management has been strong since her first internship.
